West Guilford is part of the municipality of Dysart et al located within Haliburton County. While Haliburton is the primary town in the municipality, also included are Donald, Eagle Lake, Fort Irwin, Goulds, Harburn, Harcourt, Kennaway, Kennisis Lake, and West Guilford. The area covers the land and lakes between Kenissis Lake and as far south as Pine Lake with many smaller lakes in between. The West Guilford community spans a significant portion of land and waters from Lake Kennisis in the north to and South to Pine. Kennisis Lake Road is the main road that connects Highway 118 and smaller roads to lakes in between.
